[There is the sound of paper rustling and a faint scratching sound, possibly pen on the aforementioned paper. And Charlie's muttering to herself.]

Okay...okay, so...[pause] No clue what I'm doing. Shoulda paid better attention to Norma when she cooked thanksgiving dinner.

[There is a thump, pages being turned and more of that scratching-on-paper sound.]

...don't even like the holidays that much. And this shopping list is getting ridiculously long.

Same. Who knows what the curses will throw at us and we end up stuck inside, right? I'm hoping we still have the boxes of elbow macaroni because I wanted to make my grandmothers baked macaroni and cheese. That stuff is ridiculously good.

[There is quite possibly a grin evident in her voice.]

I can do that. I was also thinking steamed veggies and something with asparagus. But then I think I'm the only person in the world that actually likes that stuff.

Hey, asparagus is pretty good if you cook it right. I'm not a fan of it raw, but cooked it's great.

I usually bake it with parmesan and breadcrumbs. Or steam it with a bit of lemon juice in the water.

And I think that's all I'm making, otherwise we will be sick of turkey forever.

This is so exciting. [pause] This is also not something I'm doing ever again. I think for Christmas I'm going to either stay home with pizza from the store down the road, or go elsewhere.
