This was the last thing I expected when I woke up this morning.

[There is a girl about 11 years old staring into the video with an annoyed look on her face. For anyone that's known Charlie long enough, they might recognize the big blue eyes or at least think they were familiar.

Anyway, the child speaking is outside somewhere. Possibly wandering Xanadu like she's searching for something important. And she looks worried.]

I really hope this is just a physical change and not a mental one. [It is just a bit, but not the way she's thinking.] Otherwise, oh man is this going to be interesting.

[A pause.]...I almost wish my dad was here. This is kinda scary.

[ those eyes do look a little familiar, but liz has never seen this child before - she didn't even know there were kids in the city. ]

[Oh, god! A familiar face. Charlie seriously could squee with delight, if she did that sort of thing.]

No. I'm in Xanadu. Uh...[FHL!] Hi, Liz. It's Charlie. I've been cursed.


[Yeah, this stopped being wonderful again.]

[ liz's mouth drops open. this is her first encounter with a curse, and whatever she'd been expecting them to be like - it wasn't this. but, she supposes, that it could be worse. being turned into a child was certainly more preferable over being turned into a monster or something else. ]

Oh. Okay. [ ... ] Do you, uh, need me or someone to come get you?

I'm on my way back to the apartment, now. I was with Steve for part of the day and had breakfast but I think I should just stay home until this is done with. I'll be there in a minute.


[A few minutes later, she's entering the apartment, looking just a bit annoyed]

[ she's not too sure how to handle the situation. charlie seems to be of sound mind, like she's retained hers from the age she's supposed to be. does liz treat her like a child or like the girl she was getting to know? ]

[She just waves a bit tentatively and nervously before speaking.]

So...I swear this isn't contagious. It's just a curse. I should be....me again, soon. However old I was.

[Charlie was that an attempt at a joke? It almost sounded like one. And she really isn't sure how old she's supposed to be. Everything is weird and muddled.]

How long do these...curses usually last?

Anywhere from a day to a week. [She sighs, rubbing her hand over her face a moment.] God, I'm going to cry if this lasts for a week.

Hey, I'm sure it won't last that long, but if it does? We'll deal. Being a kid's not all bad, is it?

[ she wonders if anything'll happen to her and she sees herself in max's head, wearing that cupcake dress. ]
